battery Charger!!

Hi Folks! could anyone tell us wht colour light should be on the battery charger! Red or green, when hooked up to electricity! It is a CBE A915 and we had to change the fuses, now only the red light is on!

What battery charger? There are lots of different ones. Usually red when uncharged and goes green when charged.

Do you have an independant display as I thought this model's lights on the charger represent the different charge voltage pending on Gel or Lead Acid.

As far as I can see when the red led is on it is charging at maximum and when the green led is on the batteries should be fully charged and the charger is 'floating' at 13.8v

Correct Andy, That is how mine reads when charging.

For confirmation, hook your multimeter leads (in DC voltage range) direct to the battery terminals.

Less than about 12.8V means no charging and more than about 13V (up to 14.4V if it is a three-stage charger) means it is charging.
