What a real bargain ..

Join Heritage New Zealand and get access to NT England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and English Heritage for less than £30 .. For Senior Citizen and One other. Even the family membership is cheap.

Membership Benefits | Join us | Get Involved | Heritage New Zealand

Right down the bottom of the page. We already use a Scottish NT card which is HALF the cost of English NT neither of which have access to English Heritage .. The power of the Internet ..

..

Already done this earlier this year:banana: going to New Zealand in November so will use it in both hemispheres:cool1:

It sounds like a bargain, until you find out NZ doesn't have any heritage!😀

I accept that I am a heathen but cannot see the point of visiting English Heritage sites. I can walk around most towns and look at a pile of rubble. I am a member of the Scottish National Trust though.

Surely supporting our National Trust is a good cause for us, our children and future generations still to come. They need the money, there is colossal upkeep on these old buildings. Thank goodness for the National Trust to save our heritage because the government wouldn't.

Does any one pay the gate prices to these places?

Yep, loads do :rolleyes2:

We visited Hardwick Hall a while back and was amazed at the size of the queue when we went in :scared:

One of the staff was walking up and down asking members to go to the other till to be scanned in. Only half a dozen or so people out of maybe 40 - 50 actually went over.

We was then well ahead of the other visitors there .............. thankfully.

The woman on the till looked at our NTS cards and said .....................oh, you don`t sound Scottish ?

I said .......................... what`s that got to do with it ? .............................. she replied ............... no nothing, enjoy your visit.

I can't remember the details but if you take out a subscription for The Times newspaper they are currently giving you NT Trust membership with it.

Sounds a good deal but it says it doesn't cover parking charges in NZ or overseas, so could work out expensive.

And here's an even better bargain !...

A few montha ago, my eagle-eyed Spouse spotted and even greater bargain concerning NT Membership here in the UK.

She found that if you applied for NT Membership in Zimbabwe you would also qualify for NT Membership in the UK and a few other countries besides and at an even greater saving. However we declined this 'Bargain Offer' as we didn't fancy the thoughts of a detatchment of the Zanu PF (Warwickshire Branch) knocking on our door late one night to enquire about our suitability in becomming Members of the Zimbabwe NT

Captain Biggles :plane:

QFour, thanks for the post, as mentioned by others does it cover parking, have you used it here yet?

Looking to join but not if it excludes parking.
