Thank you. I hadn't considered that!We have stayed there. Its cheaper in low season I think. It's a handy place for a 1 - 2 nighter. We just stayed there on our way back through Spain for 1 night. Fyi there is a resto that is walkable from the site but don't open for food until something like 8pm from memory.
Without wishing to teach you how to suck eggs but it may be worth booking a ticket/timeslot for the Sagrada Familiar as it is so popular. The queues were huge when we went there and that was in Jan/Feb time too.
Thanks Tom, I shall pay that a visit as well.Another unfinished place of worship by Gaudi is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Church_of_Colònia_Güell
There is an aire at https://www.campingcar-infos.com/view.php?id=25879 (750m from the railway station for trains to Barcelona).
Hi Chris,Thanks Tom, I shall pay that a visit as well.
Unfortunately the aire is closed at present according to the website at https://areascamper.com/ficha/area-de-autocaravanas-en-santa-coloma-de-cervello-barcelona/
It appears that it is being redeveloped.
That's a shame. I could have stayed there and taken the train into Barcelona.
I'll go and have a look next month...Hi Chris,
Report received today that there are 4 motorhomes on the aire, which is no longer free but €7.38/night, payment by app (which on the basis of a photo appears to have been in place since at least April 2023) but the system is not working so they are unable to pay. The link does not refer to redevelopment but improvements ("...improving the gray and black water emptying system, reviewing the distribution of spaces and the corresponding signage, regulating access, etc....) and on the basis of today's report is presumably out-of-date.
