banter

Yes i think keep the banter i think we are all into the same life style and find this too be a nice site with decent people on it.We are all adults and im sure you can read between the lines on the postings.
Its why i am a fully paid up member as i think the site is worth supporting,we dont want people to be banned or harrased,but can be grown up enough to sort out our differances.:)
 
LIGHTEN up folks, In all the time I have been a member of this forum, The one thing that has kept my here as a regular....... both with banter and with seriuos facts, help etc etc. Is the light hearted, tongue in cheek, uncensored and even the sometime downright argumentative content of this site....... It is a great mix of all the above and long may it continue to be so.
It is what makes this site so different to all the (Anally retentive, cliquee," IVE been a motorhomer for a 170 years and in that time I have become the worlds greatest expert...........") sites that litter this cyber space..... If you want multi expert swap shop, then may I suggest...

Motorome fun ?,
Motorhome this that and the other,
and if thats what you like......... then enjoy ...it there.

I for one love this site with its Hijacked threads and high end wit...... we don't need to change a thing.

i think once again its a case of not reading the thread correctly!!!!

at no time was it suggested anyone be banned or stopped

one thread (can't remember which one)went astray onto 'red kites' brill!!!!! but there may be peeps on here interested in that subject but unless they read some thread about whatever,won't find out about it. so could it not have been started as a new thread so all that want could join?

FWIW, I am a member of three forums, all different subjects, and each one goes off at a tangent all part and parcel of people communicating I think.

I think we do get the balance right most of the time which is pretty good considering there is only one person moderating.

I looked at a forum called Motorhome Facts at one stage, but you could only do a few posts without having to pay and it seemed a little stuffy, commercial, and over regulatory, so I'd agree it's just as easy to put a new-comer off in another way. I don't mind banter myself, even pages of it, but new-comers are important to consider too, or the forum will eventually stagnate.

The general thrust of MH forums seems on the lines that the main target audience are the silver surfers who have quite a wedge of disposable income so "lets see if we can relieve them of some of it". I've used many different types of forums over 10 years on a variety of subjects including magic, sports, gaming, news/general and railway modelling. In non of these have subscriptions been required. It's only when I came to the online motorhome world that this subject surfaced.

So finding a motorhome forum that was more in line with the other forums I've used was refreshing.

I do think newcomers get a warm welcome even from the likes of Chana and AJ.
Now thats rustled some feathers. :):):):) Aj waits until his second post before insulting them:):) having met the guy though cant fault him, As for Chana not met him yet but seems ok, just dont want to be in a room with both at the same time. I would have to bang both there heads together.:D:D
 
If you put them together in the same motorhome they would get on like a house on fire especially if a bottle of malt was involved :D

TBH I have been unfair /critical of other members in some of my posts upon reflection, which frankly was not bright on my part. ( Kimbowbill ;) )particularly in her leaking roof post.

FWIW that concerns me more than any spat with AJ.

Has for AJ, any misunderstandings we have will be settled hopefully by pm or face to face at a meet and amicably...hopefully there is room for both of us here, and both add in our own way something to the 'crack'

quite simply... if you see me takin the pith out of stuff on serious threads you will find that the serious question has had the serious answer and the issue resolved before i kick in with the sheeeet and mollix.( mostly… I aint perfic other wise I would be a china)
