What a park up a beach more than a mile long and we are alone. Last two hundred yard on a potholed track worth it. And to boot good 4G WiFi and even a tv reception.

If you travel a few miles further up, to Clachan sands, its a much nicer (in my opinion!) sandy beach - extends to around 2 miles in each direction.
Park on the dunes, and there is a honesty box. Grid Ref 872768..
Pic below shows our van, the beach extends the same distance in the other direction as well.
Spent a while watching the golden eagle from here, a couple of weeks ago.

I doubt if it’s much nicer Dave, maybe nicer.
I said this beach was a mile long, it’s 7 miles long, stunning. Heading north tomorrow.

The options here are awesome, but in three weeks we cannot go everywhere.
We will be doing both east and west beaches on Beneray on Friday before getting the ferry to Leverborough.
But we love where we are right now, but next time Clachan will be on the list.
You could spend three months here no bother.
Theres been a lot of rain here grass could be dodgy.
And we are level with no levellers Cal.

It’s sand under the grass not mud👍. Harris is nicer as it has mountains but the park ups aren’t as nice.

Last year we enjoyed Baleshare and East beach Berneray. Going back in May for three weeks. Not sure how you get to Clachan sands. Is there a causeway? Also need to find West beach Berneray. Planning for Barra and Vatersay. Any recommendations?
