Morning all. I've just purchased a pair of the mounts for our fiamma 45s awning that go on the motorhome, and a pair of self adhesive mounting plates ( not sure if they'll hold up, especially in the heat we've been getting? ), as I don't want to drill holes in the van really.

Just wondered if anyone else has fitted these mounts, and if so how high from the floor do they need to be ?

Thanks. Colin. 🙂👍

I think Andyjanet fitted some to his campervan, not sure if he screwed them on though.

I fitted mine over 10 years ago with two

self tapping screws and never had a problem with them.

I suggest that you use screws or that you don't fit the dratted things at all.

If you don't want to reduce the value of your motorhome, don't drive it, don't use it.

If you want to use it, don't be afraid of fitting bits.

A tip: fit both brackets so that their open end faces backwards. Facing forwards, they collect too many samples of hedgerow as you squeeze past traffic.
