Sorry, but showing my ignorance now .... would this typically be an upgrade to an existing Ducato alarm? or replacement for one?Working when removed from Motorhome. Been fitted to Fiat Ducato. Wires will need extending but a lot depends on where you fit it.
Consists of Alarm Unit, 4 Wireless Remote Sensors for windows and doors so no wiring, Siren for under the bonnet, Bonnet Switch, Ultra Sonic unit ( Never Fitted ), Instructions. Missing Blue LED ( Could not remove it ) £40 + postage.
I can understand why the dealer didn't want the alarm actually. I remember buying a used Celica GT4 from a Toyota Dealer which had an aftermarket Alarm and they forgot to remove.... had a courtesy car (the Dealer Managers car in fact) for 2 weeks while they tried to fix it about a week after I bought the car. Car Alarms are much improved since then of course but I bet those painful memories lingerIt's an addition to the immobiliser that you have already fitted. It connects to the CanBus via two wires and monitors what going on. When you use your key to set lock the doors it picks up the codes sent by the ECU and arms it's self. It will flash the indicator lights, the horn pips and then the alarm stays on protecting the vehicle. If someone opens a door or pulls a window open the siren under the bonnet goes off. Very loud. It was fitted to our Laika but when we sold it the Dealer didn't want the alarm left in he would of course like to sell the new owner another one so I removed it. You need to connect it to a permanent live feed. Two wires to the vehicle CanBus, Two wires to the indicator lights and a wire to the horn under the bonnet. There is also a wire from the horn to the bonnet sensor. Hope that helps.
