Hi everyone we are travelling around Europe currently in Portugal in our Autotrail Mohawk, as it has been so warm we had our rear heki which is made by dometic that much we do know almost ripped off by the wind it has shattered the double skin and three pieces have broken off the arm on one side has snapped and the springs have sprung. We have found multiple numbers on the item but cannot work out which it is to re order we have contacted autotrail who do not seem to be helping, we are currently just outside albufeira for the next 5 days can anyone help us discover which heki we have be it small, midi or large. we believe it is midi but need confirmation, Can anyone recommend a reputable garage that could re fit it, currently stable held together and down with gaffer tape. Thankyou in advance x;)

Hi it's a 2010. Also can I get the perspex window and locking arms repaired or will it need a full unit.

Many thanks

Heki

Sorry to hear your misshap.2 years ago i had large size fitted and quickly learnt they are easy blown wide open potently ripping the perspex off the struts causing damage.A parts list came with it if bought seperately would cost much..much more than the skylight. All parts are available.

[Thanks guys have now had light identified as a midi heki.they are oblong and mini are square and found a guy near our current position in Loule Portugal called camper serve who seems to get good press so off to see them Monday.

Any info on how easy to get dometic parts if needed?

Thanks

Visited camper serve, very helpful guy but did not have midi heki rooflight in stock and it will take a month or so to get parts. This was what was worrying me as similar experience in uk trying to get swift parts and I was only 40 miles away.I don't understand why it is so difficult to get parts.when I even suggested collecting myself but as with swift this doesn't work anyway.

Never mind all after taped down now so will try to fix up down the road in narbonne or nice!

As Mr Brown says. If you are going to Narbonne then a good bet for finding what you want would be Narbonne Accessoires on the Route de Perpignan (Head Office?). N. A. is a nationwide chain. Apart from supplying Camping Car accessories they have comprehensive fitting services.

Thanks nbrown the swift thing was an earlier problem with an earlier van. I will get in touch with this firm and see what their delivery times are but strange that the repairers wont though?

Hi guys just to update you.narbonne accessories were able to supply top cover same day.they did not stock locking bar and delivery time 2 months!! Must be hand made.

Anyway managed to splint and repair locking bar so all fitted and good to go for now.

Thanks so much for everyone's contributions
