Auto-sleeper Symphony - any good?

Just had a message from a friend of mine in Derbyshire.

A friend of hers has asked for advice on this van.
She's interested in buying it, but new to the camper game.
My friend knows as much as I do about this model, so neither of us can offer any decent advice!

What do you think guys? Is it a reasonable price/condition for what it is?

For a 95 model, I would say asking price is a tad steep.

Main problem at the minute, Terry, is that everybody and his auntie's cat is wanting a campervan.

I think that is probably the going rate nowadays after a small negotiation.

I know these smaller Autosleepers always held their price well, but a lot depends on the engine and chassis as well.

But... it does seem like the market is crazy at the minute.

You see, Now I actually like them, This one looks great, But I’ve seen similar for a LOT less.
Bottom line is, if they They want it, & Want it NOW, then yeah ok, Looks good but expensive. But we ALL pay more for something that we want now & again don’t we

The seller is very local to the buyer, so makes it a bit easier I think?

If you Naked Gardener Friend has that kinda money to spend on a Van This year with Vans Genuinely Getting more than they’re realistically worth, Then maybe wait until End of this season or even Next year when things are ‘Hopefully’ settled down a bit.
UNLESS a Brilliant deal comes their way as a result of someone else’s rushed buy

Apart from looking a tad too expensive, it looks in good condition, and built when Autosleeper were building them well.
But if they are happy with the price, then go for it i am sure they will have many happy times with it.
I see they are selling the screen covers and air awning separately, I would get them to throw them in

I think with some types of vehicles, they get to a certain place where the age is not a factor.
If the bodywork is good and tight, chassis is sound and is mechanically good, I'd say it's worth that price - but I agree with RichardHelen .... get the screen covers and air awning (which are not cheap at all) included as part of the deal.
