Just searched for what's on today in Weymouth. Big events all over the weekend . . . sorry then looked at the dates. Weymouth did it all LAST weekend, so I've missed it all. Talk about organising a p-up in a brewery - and Weymouth are running the sailing olympics, god knows what date they'll start.

I think it is a case of they can't be everywhere at the same time. At least an effort was made.

A Spitfire has just flown over the house, must be on the way to an event. Luckily we seem to be on a BBMF flight-path and I always rush outside when I hear the unmistakable purr of a Merlin engine. Had the Hurricane and Lancaster over occasionally, but the best was when the Dakota flew low (and slow!) down our valley last year.

Long may they keep them flying, lest we forget.

A Spitfire has just flown over the house, must be on the way to an event.

I think it may have been heading to a flyover at the National Arboretum between Lichfield and Burton. The torch started off from there along with an Armed Forces service.
