Ardrossan ferry anyone?

I am surprised it sailed into Ardrossan at all in that. Normally if its really bad it goes to Gourock as Ardrossan is quite exposed.

Cant beat a bit of a rough sail though. Great fun!

The equipment required to remove and board cars is faulty at Gourock.

One of the proudest moments of my life occurred leaving Rothesay, bound for Wemys Bay on the Ferry in a storm. I had just taken one drink from my Pint glass when the Ferry cleared the harbour. The front of the Ferry shot upwards as it hit the gale and I did not spill one drop of beer. :giggle:

The weather was so bad that the Ferry was diverted to Gourock on that occasion.

I must admit Barry, I enjoy a rough sea and I don't get seasick.

We once got caught 12 miles out of Bridlington in a force 10 in a 30 ft fishing boat. That was frightening, but I still managed to eat my mates sandwiches because he had 'lost his appetite'. We had to sit outside the harbour for an hour when we got back as there was a danger of hitting the bottom if we went down in the trough of a wave on entering.
