Asda had the halogen jobbies for around £80, I think JML are making them.
If you are going to live on fish fingers and onen chips then there is another option. Go to the local chippy and save yourself the hassle of cooking altogether.
Yes you can do oven chips and fish fingers in a Romoska but it will need to be pre heated first according to Joan.
A Romoska is not a slow cooker. It needs to be preheated like an oven and Joan tells me it takes the same time to cook a cake in one as it does in a conventional oven. The only difference is the heating element is in the lid so it cooks the top faster so in some cases the food in the top needs covering for a while.

We have'nt an oven so we decided on a double skilled. Roasts a 3 lb chicken on minimum gas in only an hour, oven fish and chips, toasted sandwiches, perfect rice every time, oven spuds the list is endless. At less than half the price of a remoska we believe that our skillet is a great piece of kit, and no need for electric hook ups or noisy gennys.
May we take this opportunity to wish every one of you all the best for 2010, and to say thanks for the info we were given on the Peak District when we visited the UK last year, it was was really helpful.
