As you open the rear doors and look up this is located to rear of wall cupboards on the ceiling, seems to be single black wire, there is a roof mounted reverse camera and please excuse the dust and cobwebs.

It's Piezo buzzer mate, maybe part of an alarm system, crappy install though.

Reversing sensor for parking buzzer our bumper has reverse park sensors and this is the buzzer inn our pcv

It's a Milubmium P Modulater, used for reversing purposes..

Thanks, next question then, there are bumper sensors but they don,t work I think because the previous owner carried a rear bike rack, what would be the easiest method of disabling them so I can reverse the methodology to make them work again?

There would have been a live feed to them if they are aftermarket units. I would check under the bonnet for any wire that looks out of place. Failing that, look under the rear of the van for the supply to the actual units and trace it back.
