Anyone free at weekends for a couple of hours near me in Sheffield :-)

well you sleep in double bed with slat on and they only got four legs this has six you could put an extra one in middle if you didnt feel secure try frecycle for a bed frame with the slat in if you get one with the slats that are in two section then you dont have to cut them in half

yeah i like the way it slides out, rather than lift over, esp with my bad back. im always on the looking on FC :)

ah ok. i was going to pop over midday, as you said other day you was free afternoon onwards, so offered to help someone here tomorrorw morning, then come straight over. bytthe time i get there at 12, wont leave time, esp with traffic back over the snake. thanks anyway.

Understand no problem in a few weeks i may have another friday free

hi jen .hope he doesnt want any sewing doing . if you slip with the needle you might feel a little .......sharp object. dont forget to wear them rubber gloves. best be safer than sorry. post some pics of his conversion .

Hi Al

I think CJ has fell out with me, he seems to be ignoring me:sleep-040:

If you two have difficulty screwing, CJ (I know what it's like having a bad back sometimes), if Jen holds your tool, you could always hammer it :hammer:, and you two would soon knock it off. That bed would come together in no time at all. :rockroll:

found it the web site with a better picture of what on about just need 4 tool a pencil, a drill, a sharp saw, tape measure (5 if a cheap saw most hand saws have a set square built as part of design so you can get straight edges then you need set square) measure twice cut once pre drill screw holes with small drill bit make it easier to screw screws in (pilot hole)Deep Red - A self-build motorhome - beds & seats

Hehehe.

Nice link by Oldish hippy: Deep Red - A self-build motorhome - beds & seats

I have seen Deepred's van before, but good instructions on sliding bed, if that's the sort you want. I still prefer the fixed bed though. It's great for storing things when you are not sleeping. Fixed does give you less floor space for dogs, but you can always use part of a garage under the fixed bed as a kennel/dogden.
