Anybody seen spring yet ?

I've been out paragliding today and it was so warm I was quite happy with only three layers of clothing on. Mind you , all three were thermal!!

Yep, the cock pheasants and collared doves are 'sorting things out' about here and the March hares are at it to.

I parked up just outside Donny before the weekend and a few hares at it in a plowed field ...funny as owt ...Whatever they are on I want some !!

Pulled over for some lunch near Doncaster Robin Hood Airport :rolleyes:and early bees doing their thing :)

Bees in March !!!

I must have sat for a good 3/4 of an hour with my cup a soup just watching them...brilliant stuff and the blue tits seemed busy.

Last weekend I visited my mum who after a recent fall is in a convalescence home, On the way out she stopped and said come and have a look at this.

4 ft below the window was a pigeon sat on her nest, apparently a frequent visitor to the home in Spring.

Immigrants taxes and elections...sorry I find this far more interesting.

In my wee corner of Scotland The daffs are coming out.
So are British Airways crews and British Rail staff so it must be either summer or time for an election................:D:D:D

I live in a funny old place called Teesdale at the top of the North Yorkshire Dales and Durham county border. Today we went up to Cow Green Reservoir which is at the top end of the dale and 25 miles uphill from where I live. It’s a bit like the Falkland Islands and there is actually a sign stating that it has the same climate as Reykjavik in Iceland. A barmy 3 degrees (felt much colder in the wind and still a bit of snow. The drift Mrs D is stood on was over 4 ft deep as I lost the end of my walking pole in it and its still there now.

If you really want a wild and I mean wild camping spot there is loads of space up here with a lake view (just dont come in winter)

Google earth it with these co-ordinates 54.672934 -2.294735

3 tiered car parks and walking in every direction. Be aware though mist came down in 10 minutes while we were there today.

drive back down the dale to home and I took this pic from the old wooden bridge right near my house. 10 degrees and sunnyish, just a few miles back down the dale.
