Any Gardeners

The slugs here are so big I have slug pellets the size of footballs, so it's not easy for me to grow things.
I have though two chilli plants on the windowsill outside so i'm hoping for some scotch bonnet to make some interesting curries.

Have a look at a program called EDIBLE GARDEN on the bbc presenter quite nice shhh don't tell the bride :D:D

gardening is one thing i dont miss since going full time, we had a big garden at the house that we had ,used to find that it took up too much time less time away in the van .but now we have the best garden ever its wherever we stop and the best of all we dont have to tend it dandy lion is great in a salad it ads that bit of zing try nettles acording to form if you boil then a little it takes the sting out . wild garlic is nice and also if you can find watermint that is much better than the garden type and watercress found in most ponds is also good i used to have both growing in my fish pond back home

Get a couple of Ducklings. They cleared all of the slugs in my garden in no time at all.

Be careful as they will eat some of your plants too but well worth it.

Make sure you have got rid of the slug pellets first.

OK not motorhoming but I figure people who like to wildcamp might also be interested in eating home produce :)

So anyone do much in the way of gardening?

We do, we are not too fanatical about it but since we had this house with a big enough garden we have grown spuds and various other stuff, never had any luck with 'cabbages' and that brasica stuff

We love the taste of fresh new spuds and tomatoes just picked and warm in summer :)

HI yer, although we live in a static, we have enough ground to grow interesting things ( not a lot) but have a goose gog bush , and grow strawberrys potatoes in bags, loads of herbs, tomatoes, the climbing beans are up, we are useing french climbing beans this year, as we thought the taste was better , and we had a better yield, we grow squashes, and have got a few chard, garlic sets, and spring onions, and I exspect I have left a few out, and I nearly forgot two grape vines,

Ahhhh! Keen veggie growers - I have just the thing for you and it's virtually guaranteed to make your cabbages bloom. Just let me know if you'd like a few hundred kilos of (bagged) bunny best - it's not called 'Gardeners Gold' for nothing. Mr Poo, whom we currently supply, has won prizes for his veggies fertilised by only the best big-bunny poop. You could squeeze a lot of it into your huuuge Kontiki!!

I can loan you some very effective gardeners who will soon have your little patch out of control.

As for cleaning, I'm with you on that one. Far more interesting things to do....

Magrin

ive just given away two industrial sized pollytunnels sorry mate:eek: i could have given you both of them, btw if you want some Russian Comfrey i have that gowing down my field.

As for gardening,i have a 1000ft x 100ft plot where i live,i did try the good life,i had fruit canes lots of veggies growing, chickens, ducks and a couple of pigs

I started my own business and the whole lot got too much work so i stopped doing it

My business went down the toilet last year so once the job is more settled, ill get growing veggies again

They taste soo much better than the stuff from supermarkets, i went into organic gardening in a big way,i had compost heaps, a wormery etc.Chickens are great for sluggs,i never use pellets as they kill the birds as well

Next time we meet I'll remind you to bring some bags :), sadly the HUGE Kontiki is no longer ours, we sold it :( but quite :) as we got more for it than we paid.

We will look at organising something soon, We was thinking of Eastnor Castle as the camping area is huge, No toilets and cheap, main thing is is just large open fields so we could park in a big group much the same as Tintern and do our own thing, big fire pit :D :D anyone up for this?

I'm definitely up for Eastnor Castle and, hopefully, something local'ish (and cheap - or preferably free) for the forthcoming Bank Holiday weekend.

You're very welcome to collect fresh poo whenever you'd like some. We have a full load of quality stuff every 2 weeks - alas, I can't get a single bag in the Roo (you didn't see how small it is!)
