Angles mort stickers

I didn't stick them on this year, removing the glue residue last year took ages. I have them in the glove compartment though. I'm looking right now at a German reg Concorde, no Angle Mortes sticker to be seen, and he is not the first.

Stick them to jeans or a jumper first for a few seconds, it will make them less sticky, so they will come back of easily without leaving the glue
 
We leave the sticky one on the back and have magnetic ones for the cab doors. But if you don't need them fixing is not an issue.

Yes that is exactly what we do too....

...and then usually forget to put the magnetic ones on for at least our first day in France!

...and then forget to take them off for at least our first day out of France! :)
 
Unless they are on a bike waiting at traffic lights and a vehicle pulls up alongside then perhaps?
 
From experience in France and now Spain, there are dedicated cycle routes away from moving or standing traffic.
 
There are plenty but certainly not everywhere though.
 
whilst in portugal a frenchman remonstrated with us that they weren’t required on a motorhome as like a car we had all round visibility ie they were needed for vans and lorrie’s which had limited views nes’t pas, & before you think i can speak french this guys english was impeccable he also said that if a camera flashes you for height they will automatically discard a motorhome but if you have the stickers on you haven’t got a case,
 
I did see one MH on this trip with stickers on and held in place with suction cups.
 
Am I correct in thinking that you only require them in towns?
If you are on motorways for your journey then none needed?

I think he may have that wrong as they are required for all vehicles over 3500kg...

I hadn't picked up on that but it looks like the wording is for "urban areas" however the practicalities of stopping and fixing them on before entering each town would probably mean most folks who comply would just leave them on all the time when in France

It applies to vehicles travelling “in an urban environment.” This is not clearly defined, but presumed to be all built-up areas.

That’s just a Frenchman being French!

ALL vehicles over 3.5T require them.
