Allergies in Campervan

Spangly I ended up with running eyes running nose dry throat and sneezing about 50 times at Hereford home now and it’s all cleared up so I think it was some sort of pollen floating about.
Don’t call me me spangly 😂

But yes maybe your right there was something in the air and not my dusty van 👍

I had hay feaver from about 5 years of age, wrecked my younger life as always came during school exams, now im talking real hayfeaver not a we sniffal.
Could not breath as it went into my chest starting astma, eys bulging out like bull dogs b-lls, nose running non stop 24/7 from june to end of july.
Could not go near dogs normal bedding or any house dust, only ease was swimming baths, this helped for an hr or two.
Then something strange happened, after getting married it vanished, shock maybe LOL, fact is all I get now is a we bit of trouble about now with early tree & plants, not much except a slight sniffal and lightly itchy eyes for a week or two, nothing like what I had as a child.
One thing I cannot take is the anti alergy tablets as they make me doppy 24/7, ok you lot say thats normal LOL, but as a child who lost most of the summer and schooling it was by no means funney, only now do I like getting out in good weather, and strange thing was the rain made it 10 time worse.
Hayfever is meant to only last for a certain number of years. Maybe you just outgrew it?
I used to have it very bad for quite a long time as well. Cutting the grass when it was dry meant two days inside the house to recover :(
Various unusual treatments to try and help included perscription sunglasses when at Junior School (!) (bright sunlight started it off), injections at the start of the summer and a nose operation in an attempt to desensitise the effect.
Luckily I get very little problems now, especially compared to others who have never really suffered from hayfever in the past. Think I outgrew mine :)

The air purifier I use at home is a levoit I think it’s about £80 on Amazon. I can’t recommend it enough … I put it on in the morning and by the evening you can literally feel how crisp the air is in the bedroom. Then at night I throw open the windows even in icy cold weathers.

If I opened my windows the c heating stat would switch the heating on once it drops below 20.5c and keep running to heat the world up.

Just made me think, I have had my hooter done twice, seems to help, had every injection and tablets as a kid, not one bit of good to be honest.
Cutting of grass was not the problem it seems, docks never did get to the bottom of it other than say stay indoors which did not work.
Only 2 carpets now, hall and living room, all others are lino and wood in bedrooms.

I only get mild symptoms but the problem started after getting facial injuries at work which damaged my Sinuses. The other week there was a warning about very high tree pollen which does not usually bother me. I had a tight chest when I walked a few hundred yards to my GP for my annual blood checks. Halfway there I had to stop and take a break. Long story short, the Practice Nurse put me on a different inhaler (I also have COPD). The new one also benefits hayfever sufferers.
