Sounds daft but developing asthma in recent years I also developed a lot of allergies including dogs cats etc 😩… every time I stay in the camper van I always wake up with allergies, sneezing sore eyes, throat etc. I leave the roof vents open and make sure the air circulates.
The van in lined with grey felt so probably collects a lot of dust.
I do have air purifier at home but looking for a decent 12v or is there one I can have professionally fitted.

Thanks

There's a lot of Pollen about at the moment Jac, could it be Hay Fever or is it not just a recent thing?
It’s a weird one Rob because the respiratory consultant said the allergies were probably due to having sonny for fifteen years and it was the dander in his coat, even though I didn’t show signs of it when we had him.
He has said absolutely no to another dog and said I would be asking for trouble.
It didn’t help that I worked in a place were she let the cats roam freely all over my desk. The allergies can last all year round. Spicy food, certain beers can set me off and red wine is lethal and makes my tongue swell …damn it !!😂

Taking antihistamine does help sometimes.

Drink uncertain beers Jac!

Try Beconase Nasal inhaler. I was really bad with allergies when younger. I was prescribed all sorts of antihistamines but the nasal inhaler was a game changer. Not sure if it’s over the shelf but your doc could prescribe it.

I had hay feaver from about 5 years of age, wrecked my younger life as always came during school exams, now im talking real hayfeaver not a we sniffal.
Could not breath as it went into my chest starting astma, eys bulging out like bull dogs b-lls, nose running non stop 24/7 from june to end of july.
Could not go near dogs normal bedding or any house dust, only ease was swimming baths, this helped for an hr or two.
Then something strange happened, after getting married it vanished, shock maybe LOL, fact is all I get now is a we bit of trouble about now with early tree & plants, not much except a slight sniffal and lightly itchy eyes for a week or two, nothing like what I had as a child.
One thing I cannot take is the anti alergy tablets as they make me doppy 24/7, ok you lot say thats normal LOL, but as a child who lost most of the summer and schooling it was by no means funney, only now do I like getting out in good weather, and strange thing was the rain made it 10 time worse.

I was similar Trev. When I left school and went a bit daft on sex, drugs and rock n roll my allergies more or less stopped. Horses and bananas were the worst for me. Eyes, throat and lips would swell up and nose run like a tap.

I have started to get hay fever something I never used to suffer from {I put it down to old age} well last week I took a antihistmine and it knocked me off my feet I felt I had been hit with a sledge hammer. I have now started to take just haf a one but not working yet.

Been snuffling and sneezin hard for a couple of weeks now, no crops around here but plenty of grass for the cows and sheep.

I stopped smoking and doc says I developed asthma three different inhalers just made it worse so after a while I stopped using them and miraculously I got better.

I would get the upholstry deep cleaned for a start.
I used to get a lot of itchy eyes and hayfever/allergy type symptoms. I then moved from a house which had carpets, a history of pets living there, etc, to a brand new flat with all hard surfaces and wooden floors (so nothing for pollen/hair/etc to settle into and get absorbed). Itchy eyes, etc disappeared overnight!

The air purifier I use at home is a levoit I think it’s about £80 on Amazon. I can’t recommend it enough … I put it on in the morning and by the evening you can literally feel how crisp the air is in the bedroom. Then at night I throw open the windows even in icy cold weathers.
