I have just rang alko up for a new rear handbrake cable, a few years ago I bought new torsion bars from them but it now seems they will not sell to the public or even to my local garage unless they are ALKO approved.:rolleyes2::rulez::wacko: The cable goes from side to side on the two rear wheels on a swift kontiki 640 1998 model. So it now seems I will have to try and get one made up. What a crazy state of affairs and I hope people add their thoughts to this thread and ALKO get to see it.

Any help would be appreciated from you knowledgeable people, I will add photo's asap.

Paul

Well been a bit busy with other stuff to sort this. I used this company link above and cannot recomend them enough, the cable was sent to them and they have made me another. The service on the telephone and the speed of return and the price was super, once I had paid the new cable was posted to me the same day and arrived the day after. 35 quid seemed very reasonable to me, So dear Alko up yours with your help.

Thanks also to all those who answered my original posting.
