Aldi Bio tablets .

I usually use 2 but I've got a BIG cassette. Don't know how much it holds but it's bloody heavy when it's full! :lol-053::lol-053:

I generally use the bio washing liquid - but also thought it had to be the bio for it to do its digesting action ????

Nothing at all works to an extent, its worked for nature for millions of years. One ordinary cube helps but if its Bio it helps more. If you are going to be static then I would dilute some bio liquid with a little water and add that to your empty cassette.

Thought we might give these a try.
What's the dose for a 19 litre cassette?
.
We have been using the Aldi Bio tablets for the past couple of years since reading the tip on here.
One is all that is needed. However I have now just changed over to Bio powder only, it works out cheaper still.
Just one tip if you are using powder.Do not put it down the discharge tube of the cassette it sticks to the inside of the tube and does not all go into the container.I now put it into the toilet from inside the van using a small scoop.Hope this helps, it works for us.

Paul, as Yorkshire man I am somewhat surprised that you bother at all with any sort of stuff down your loo. What a proper Yorkshire man would do is stir the contents up with a large wooden spoon.
It advisable to wash the said spoon before placing it back in the cutlery draw.

Currently I use Thetford green. I am interested in using the bio stuff, but have a few questions:
Does it break down the "solids" ( sorry too much info!) as well as Thetford?
Does it stop smells?
Which is best to use? Bio or non bio? Sachets or liquid or powder?
If you have bee n using Thetford can you still use the washing sachets or do you need to really scrub the cassette first?
Can you still use Thetford pink in the top tank?
Anything else I need to know?

Thanks!
Julie

Bio is the friendlier option, it breaks down the lumpy stuff, liquid or powder doesn't matter that much. Once the initial smell of hubby's poo poo has drifted away the main source of smells comes from urine and this is usually the point the cassette needs emptying. Carry on using pink if you want as a deodoriser, in conjunction with the much cheaper bio.

Pink...
If you flush with pink solution, you will fill the cassette quicker... Need to empty more frequently .
We use a garden spray bottle filled with a strongish mix of pink and water.
Cheers.. Bottoms up!

No not really but always be careful not to dump too much of any chemical into a septic tank.
