Hi everyone, our home has internal and exterior cameras that emails me pictures should anyone getting detected within the various zones that they cover.

Has anyone got any ideas of a 12 volt camera that I could use inside our motorhome to message me when we leave it while out cycling if an intruder was to break into it, especially if we are wild camping.

I have a Huawei router with a vodaphone SIM in it so we could use that as a WiFi hotspot in the motorhome. But not sure what the best way forward, we have the usual thatcham 2/1 alarm imobiliser and tracker already fitted. But it would be handy to have an internal camera we can switch on whilst we are out.

here you go,works of usb port or 12v which most of use have in van.

Thanks Trevskoda, have you got one of these, bit skeptical if it will be any good with it been such a low price, unless of course anyone has got one and can recommend it.

If you want to be made aware then quality isn't a big issue.
Obviously if you hope to get evidence quality then you may need to spend up a bit.
But at this money should be worth a try.

I have been thinking about getting one of these to monitor the van if Roxxy is left in it alone
It has a rechargeable battery and if it is as good as our Ring doorbell the quality will be excellent

I have this vision of the phone chirping then a frantic ride back breaking the land speed record only to find an innocent cow rubbing its bum against the vehicle.

We have left our vehicle untended over most of the UK with no issues apart from a heifer with an itchy arse who decided we were a handy rubbing post at 2-30am. That was on the Mull of Galloway so if you happen to be there beware Daytona Belle.

Watch out for paranoia too it can creep up so that it takes over. "They are all out to get me!"

We have a very knowledgeable man visiting in the new year to upgrade our works CCTV. I've been looking at this for a while for our new build. I will ask our man what is about with tried and tested kit.

T leaves may break in and nick the expensive kit, happened here in groomsport harber masters office, cctv watching boat yard, then they used a chain saw to cut the transum and nicked the outboard engines, then grabbed the cctv recorder so no record or picys.

I git a 320 degree swivel camera for home year before last when Caz was in hospital so she could check on the dogs. I think I paid about £30 off Amazon as it was wifi so only power lead to connect. The camera just connects to the wireless router and can be monitored over the net. You can speak and listen so could hear the dogs and speak to them.

would be very easy to do something like that and probably cheaper two years on. Picture quality at that price was very good as well

I have on my phone that I hide in the van a program that my boy got done for me, if the alarm is trigged the phone turnes on the cut out switch on and the motor will not start when he first done it I forgot where the blinking button was to turn the cut of ,so I could start the motor . :D

The Nest is covers on all sides with its 4 Cameras & CCTV-DVR that records 24/7 & have had NO issues to date.
It ‘Has’ got the Facility to send email, but I just let it upload to the either & overwrite the drive when full.
Might be worth dropping a line to GadgetJohn...
I think he has just reviewed a stand alone cctv camera for around the £20 mark

Hopefully if it's like my cameras at home, it will have already sent me the pictures of the culprit.

I have the hive camera system inside the house, very pleased with the quality of the pictures, we also have Hikvision external system, bloody ridiculous the expense we have to go to in the hope it will put off the thiefs.

I have a Reolink 4g camera. Put in a penny mobile SIM card and it sends messages alerts and live streaming. Brilliant bit of kit so we can keep an eye on the dogs.paid just under £200.00 a year ago

I have the Reolink Argus 2. It can be mounted outside when we are away or for keeping an eye on the dogs inside if we are out.
