Aire Park - registration?

We want to visit Rochefort en Terre, and one of the aires there is operated by the Aire Park network.

I've been trying to register but it won't accept my details, I keep getting a red error message.

Does anyone know whether registration is really necessary, and how you access the sites and pay if not registered? I was looking at the map of aires and it looks like the one at Wissant is theirs, if that helps.
 
We've stayed at a number of AirePark sites this holiday - we're on one now. There's no need to register although I think you can do so if you want to book in advance.
If you want to just turn up without booking as we have done, you can first select english instructions on the screen, then select either just services or overnight, and how many nights. When you've paid you get a piece of paper with it QR code which you insert into the reader at the machine to raise the barrier. Keep the QR code carefully, you need it to get our!
Unlike the other large aire company, Camping-Car-Park, they have never issued a plastic card. In fact, even Camping-Car-Park now give you a code number on their app instead of the old plastic card.

PS - I've just looked up the Wissant site on SFS and it's neither an AirePark nor a Camping-Car-Park site. It's a company called AireServices and you do have to register. I've never come across them so can't help with that one I'm afraid.
Rochefort en Terre on the other hand is an AirePark site, so the above instructions apply, no need to register, just pay at the entrance

We are on an Aire services park in Tregastel and have used many of their sites over the years.
We follow the same routine as Batman states, and don't have any issues.
I photograph the QR code or indeed any receipt in case of loss.
Many Aires give a ticket for display however some ask for the vehicle registration number to be typed in. This is the case at this aire.
As said, Camping carpark were the only scheme to issue cards. These have now been stopped and a code is shown on the app. You do need to register for their scheme, and given that they control over 650 locations now, it is probably worth engaging with them.

AirePark and AireServices are the same organisation.
 
I seem to recall that the company has two business models. One branch of the company manufactures and sells the service points and associated equipment.
The other operates the usage of Aires on behalf of villages and communes.

As an update to this thread, at the start of September at the free site at St. Brice en Cogles an EHU bollard bearing a QR code was being installed.
Later on the month at Tregastel I briefly saw mention of a payment method named QIPEO. When I extended the stay, no further mention was made of it.
Tonight at St Brice, the EHU is functional but seems to be purchased using Bluetooth and the app qipeo using a credit/debit card or a preloaded wallet in the app.
Haven't used it but it seems to be a more cumbersome attempt at replicating camping carpark
Seems you can book a pitch, pay for ehu and water using this app.
I have signed up without issue, but not used it, but I expect it will become more common on Aires in future.
It appears to be operated by Aire Services.
Perhaps this is what jb001 encountered and posted his original question about QR codes.

We were there in Sept. There's a large carpark (no services) for campervans with a pay and display machine. Nearer the town than the Aire. It's a few Euros per 24 hrs.
