You can fit uprated springs which would bring it up a bit higher without to much cost.
 
With regard to weight it's all the bits you need that add the weight. When we swapped MH's I weighed everything and it's surprising how much it all weighs. Manufacturers don't include things like awnings and gas bottles so you start with a basic MH. Ours had been weighed before we got it. So we started at 3230 Kg .. Add gas cylinders .. Couple of bikes .. BBQ .. Bedding .. Pots & Pans .. Clothes .. Food ..

So 317Kg without .. Water .. Diesel .. The Dog .. Me .. SWMBO ..

Last time I weighed our Laika 712 it was 3920 Kg .. Still got a bit to go but some of the 3500Kg MH's must be well over weight

We were originally under the impression that air suspension didn't let you carry more, but it actually does allow it - well the sort SAP have fitted does - 200k in our case is the limit. We got all the paperwork and has to be sent off to DVLA with log book to get changed. I feel a lot happier now.
Cost was roughly £1500. We can have springs fitted at front as the air suspension makes MH nose drop down abit when not fully laden. When we took it to local weigh bridge with most of what we want in it we still have 150 kilo left, so, we had been, as I suspected, overweight before.

I think there must be different makes of AS. As I said previously the Adria had had AS but you really couldn't see any difference.

It did cost £1500 for rear air suspension. If we want to upgrade front springs it'll cost another £650.
 
I phoned a couple of places today and got varying prices . Was quoted a mad price for self levelling system
About 6k. And 3k for just the back. Think I could buy a new spine cheaper.

Although this thread is titled Air Suspension, it is mostly about Air Assistance.

The difference is that air suspension replaces the springs, air assistance just helps them. So you get less sag and sway, but you don't get the smoother ride.

My van has air suspension (only on the rear) but few companies fit that nowadays. It's good but it's really expensive. Someone spent a fortune on this van when it was new.

Yep, VB full air £1500 per wheel. They're about the only company who could fit full air to a Ducati tag-axle
 
SAP have replaced the springs on ours at back only. John kept the springs in case we need to drop down again.
