I'm trying to buy this air certificate online. However, do we definitely require one as the UK does not appear to be on the official list. This is the main site Service de délivrance des certificats qualité de l?air - Ministère de l'Environnement, de l'Energie et de la Mer and I can't proceed beyond name and address because their drop down menu does not include the UK. The site is badly written as it does allow you to translate to English but as you proceed through the form it reverts to French which is really frustrating. Unless I'm doing something wrong it is impossible to buy this Screenshot_2017-05-13-18-18-10.jpgcertificate if you have a UK address. Help please

Hi Brian,

Click on the vehicles registered abroad option (it's a French site and we are abroad in their eyes :))

I'm pretty sure that is what I did. The list offers every other country in Europe except the UK. Even Ireland is there

IIRC it's not in alphabetical order, so check throu list top to bottom

at present it only applies to Paris, Lyon and Greenoble areas at the momement so I wouldnt bother if you are not heading anywhere near those places.

On the website remember that the French refer to us as Royaume Uni mostly!!

It would appear Royaume-Uni is the French word for United Kingdom. I've never seen this before. C'est la vie

Mont Blanc Tunnel is also included be bad to get there and be refused entry

My understanding is that is that at the moment it only applies to vehicles over 7.5 tonne?

Don't think so. Think it applies to every type of vehicle: petrol, diesel, hybrid etc irrespective of weight.

You've been lucky enough to have never watched the Eurovision Song Contest then? Be prepared for more of this after the big B negotiations.
