Hi, we have a Chausson Flash 08 (low roof) and I wish to fit an air awning, probably a Vango Varkala 280. The MH doesn't have a wind out awning. The awning needs to be in the height range 235 - 250, which seems to be what is called a caravan awning. Simple I thought, just Sikkaflex on an awning rail to the desired length. However, I phoned Glossop's today for advice and was told it wouldn't fit and I need a motorhome awning. I quizzed the staff member about this but he became most unhelpful (or maybe didn't know) and the call ended with him still telling me it wouldn't fit. I have in the past fixed an awning rail to a Citroen Relay campervan to knock up a Heath Robinson means of connecting a Surf and Turf pop up we use at our son's motocross racing, so I know they stick fast with Sikkaflex. Has anyone any experience of doing what I describe to put my mind at ease or is it me that is wide of the mark. Any advice appreciated. Bob.
