AIB £199.97

Safeguard £388.61 then ... less European breakdown etc. (as we have sufficient Europe M/H breakdown cover for our needs elsewhere) £243.63.

(Having had need of AA 5* Europe cover in the past we know it's value, but thro' CSMA we should still be adequately covered albeit not for 365 days, which we don't need anyway).

Therefore AIB wins again, no brainer.

It all depends on your needs. Obviously, things change but we have not yet found anyone that gives a better deal than Safeguard for 12 months European cover with full breakdown recovery.

AIB and others won't cover you if you park on the street at home . Safeguard do . I've mentioned this before , wonder where they think you park when travelling ?

Not just Motor Homes they also do Landlord Cover which was considerably less than Saga ..

I have always been of the opinion that it's better to ring round different insurance companies at renewal time believing that there is nothing to be gained for loyalty to the same company. However I have now been with Comfort for the last 5-6 years because including breakdown cover they have consistently been the cheapest for me,on a couple of occasions the premium has actually gone down.I've never had to use them apart from a windscreen repair but by all accounts they do handle claims well.
At renewal time in June I'll give AIB a ring for a quote to see if they are competitive,I must admit it's not a company I have tried before so could be in for a surprise.

Well it looks like AIB will be insuring our Hymer this year, last year we were with the Caravan and camping club, their renewal came in at £403!!! AIB today quoted £203 without breakdown cover, that will be provided by ADAC at 109 E. We used to have RAC cover for our cars but as ADAC cover both of us in any vehicle that has been cancelled.

Don't know much about AIB. Anyone got first hand experience with their claim handling process and procedures?
