I know there's a few POI's for Wild Camping in the area of Seil Island over the "Atlantic Bridge".

Has anybody got any experience of the area. We're thinking of making a detour there in a couple of weeks time as it's somewhere off the beaten track.

I know it's likely to be erm, quiet.. tranquil ?

Thanks in advance.

Seil Island

Hi,
was at Seil two weeks ago, could'nt see the quarry near the beach as mentioned before. I did see what could have been that spot but there is now a barrier across the entry. They will let you pitch overnight at the gift shop for £10 per night. It's worth it to visit Easdale Island, and yes, it is serene and very peaceful.:have fun:

Seil, Ellenabeich (POI) on Streetview shows a sign wit a big NO, but can't quite make it out. Don't want to upset the natives.

Thankyou for the replies, we are going to Seil, hoorah. I'll update, watch this space.

p.s. forgot to say Nice Blog, Christine.

seil island

You could park down at easdale (not easdale island) or across from the Tigh and Trush pub bye the bridge or even down at the luing ferry. Lots of places and the locals (my inlaws amongst them) dont seem to bother about considerate campers. Luing is a beautiful island and worth the ferry over. Plenty of places to stop there too.
