Hi all im looking for some advice please, I have a AFERIY Portable Power Station which is connected to two 175 watt solar panels on the roof, I also have a victron dc to dc Orion charger connected to my van battery so when there is no sun I can use the van to charge the Aferiy, is it possible to have the solar and victron connected to the Aferiy at the same time or will there be a big bang when the sun is out and the van engine is running.

I don't see why not. Presumably you have an MPPT Charge Controller in the system as well? I would think though that you would DC charge the Aferiy indirectly from the alternator via a 12V socket connected to the habitation battery which is being charged by the DC/DC whilst the solar input is managed by the MPPT?

I'm sure others will advise though, don't take my word for it! :)

As long as the two combined sources don't exceed the maximum charge current I'd have thought you'd be ok.
Can you post a link to the destructions?

Not sure most power station have built mppt controller so dose not need the Victron oontroler, ??? tell me if I'm wrong .

Probably Bazz. In which case would separate connections directly from the solar panels to the power bank be needed?

Easier to do it via the leisure batteries which are already being supplied by the solar I would have thought?
