Whenever we go away on our travels friends and family always tell us we should write some kind of Blog. It's taken me until now to figure out how to do it and I am now trying to backdate it with our first adventures right through to present day. If anyone is interested you can read it here:

I now have become fairly addicted to reading other people's adventures so if you too are into the world of blogging (is that even the right term?) then feel free to post your site here..

I am particularly inspired by Europe By Camper and one day hope to take Bluebell and Keefy on a similar trip ourselves..

Cheers

Hello Lyd,

Really enjoyed reading about your travels over my morning coffee. There seems to be too many similarities its weird. We too do all our travels in a Talbot highwayman called ' Flora'. Me too a norvener and OH is soverner. Me too get lots of time off work sadly OH doesnt yet, but its a lot more time than his last job so we try to fit in many trips as we can and that keeps us both happy for the time being...... and you seem to like your plonk :) ... I too like a tipple or three, although I can live without the cider really as we are not the best of friends :/. Enjoyed your photo's and just love love love them....humble moments !!!!

Will keep it bookmarked if I can work out how to do it and look forward to reading lots more.

Happy travelling

Looking forward to reading it later. Since we have had our motorhome, I keep a book that I write in everytime we go away, with all details of where what etc.
It is fun looking back at it.

Our motorhoming (& camping of course) pre-dates this interwebby thingamajig by quite a lot, but we were priviledged to be shown scrap books done by my Auntie & her pal who (amongst other trips) went over the Alps to the Italian Lakes in a Bond-minicar convertible in the early 50's. She had been an Ambulance driver during the war in Italy & simply loved the country. She taught us to buy postcards (cos they're taken with good cameras when the sun is shining) as well as taking our own pics of personal memories. Then we added in tickets & flyers for attractions we visited & added a few hundred words of daily diary.

Oh, goodness, me that's exactly what a blog is isn't it? Not sure I will ever get round to putting our 20 odd A4 folder, hard copy, scrap books on line, but we do enjoy reading them & they keep our memories alive. Each book holds around 2 years worth of days out, pic-nics & holidays.

Thanks everyone! :) It's been fab going through the old book and digging out pictures etc. A real trip down memory lane- even though its not that long since we've been into motorhoming (compared to alot of people) we have fit lots in and enjoyed every adventure!
