Adblue Query

After 3800 miles the indicator on the ducato dash has the Adblue warning light. But the 19L tank is showing half full, apparently that’s normal. I have since driven 100 miles. I just bought a 10L container of Adblue, should I simply put the lot in, or to avoid over filling should I hold on.

It usually takes the 10ltr after the light illuminates. There is an overflow so wouldn't worry about it.
 
Remember and clean up any spillages with a damp cloth, as it leaves a white crystallised residue.
 
Bill it's recommended that every two fill ups of diesel you should brim the ad blue tank
Also every so often give the engine a run with the revs up not enough to harm but it helps regenerate the system

One reason I've pretty much stopped buying in containers and fill up at pumps.

I did save the containers at first, thinking these are too good for just one use, then I found I didn't have a use for them, and they are a bit too big for a pee pot in the van. :LOL:

Might come in handy if you overnight near a piggery!

I had an AdBlue nightmare last year. Warning light came on giving me about 150 miles range before the vehicle would stop. Took it to the garage who quoted an over £1000 to replace the system as it cannot be fixed so I asked them to rest the system. £100+ for the analyser test which defaulted to a warning again after about 12 miles, so I took the vehicle to the main agent who could find no fault on their analyser at another £100 or so. Upon arriving home and reversing into the drive the warning went off but the front driver side tyre pressure warning light came on. The tyres had been renewed 2 weeks before and were at the correct pressure. Clearly a software problem. Solution - changed the vehicle.

Can't find an adblue pump anywhere near home
