Adac renewal

I think it is pot luck who you get when you phone, the number I posted on the other thread was excellent, I asked if she spoke English and she immediately said she would transfer me to someone who could, If I were you I would try again

That's ok Tezza, I phoned Wildebus's number and got through immediately to an English speaking person. Done immediately. I hope! One year I did get a letter saying there'd been a problem at their end and could I complete the enclosed form etc. I must admit I get nervous when it comes to renewing cos I think something's going to be flagged up saying, "No, don't accept her, she cost us a fortune!"

I am not myself yet and still get very nervous and wound up meeting or speaking to people so you can imagine how I felt phoning them, after I had completed the call I couldn't understand why I had let myself get so anxious, mine is due tomorrow and I had been putting it off for weeks:scared:
I am pleased you are sorted, now keep your head down:rabbit:

The Lady I spoke to said she was not very good at English (though I would disagree with that!) so when I gave my membership number, I recited it in German and she found my details ok.
However when it came to the Credit Card number, she asked me to provide it in English. So I guess she thought her English was better than my German :(

Please check if you have renewed with ADAC this year. Yes they will renew your membership, but they don't tell you it can only be used in Germany. Check your bank payment and you will notice it is only around the 30/40 Euro mark.

This is not correct.

It is very straightforward. If you live outside Germany and continue to renew your membership nothing changes.
