Has someone got a recently used telephone number for renewal please? Not getting an answer from the one I'm using. Cheers :)

I renewed last week and none of the numbers on the website seemed to work or get through to someone, so I used the number in the original ADAC Membership confirmation email I got last year:
+49 89 76 76 66 32
That got answered straight away and I spoke to a helpful lady who took my credit card details.

HTH.

I read somewhere that ADAC were no longer taking membership from people out of Germany. If you're renewing, I maybe able to get a new membership. This could be "Fake News". There seems to be a lot of it about, apparently.

I've looked at the AA and the RAC, they both want a ransom, Green Flag are half the price, but I'm not sure about them for reasons I'm not clear about. A feeling in me water.
I'm not ready to do anything ATM, it's going to be early next year before I need to make my mind up. Meanwhile I'll put that number on my phone.

What is the significance of the + prefix ?

Sorry to disappoint but it is correct that ADAC are not taking new membership from addresses outside Germany.

Existing membership can be maintained so don't let it lapse!

Last 3 years I've used via e-mail with no complications:

Ann-Katrin Zintl
Geschäftsstelle & Reisebüro
ADAC Südbayern e. V., Paracelsusstraße 1, 93053 Regensburg
Tel: (0941) 5 23 44 Fax: (0941) 56 16 65
ann-katrin.zintl@sby.adac.de
www.adac.de/suedbayern ADAC Reisen: Campingurlaub, Ferienwohnung & mehr ADAC Fahrsicherheitstraining, Fahrertraining Pkw, Lkw, Motorrad, Sicherheitstraining

And can be done giving debit/caxton cards.

Sending card numbers by email is a very bad idea!

By far the easiest way to pay is by bank transfer.

I use TransferWise whose fees are very reasonable.

All the details you need are on the renewal invoice.

Agree could be if not sure who / how it might be used and you have unencrypted mail client/service.

I use Proton mail which is encrypted, and its via our family owned server.

I first via phone verified the source of the service. Made initial membership via phone providing banking details to enroll. Follow up renewals i've done via email providing bank details. No issues.

I initially struggled to get membership but found online this person whom I later thanked for source of information.

" Hi Dave
Thank you for your email so pleased you are sorted with your membership of ADAC.. The other lady is Amanda Moser-Wickles and she is the Office Manager sometimes she has to make visits to other Offices etc., and is away for a few days. which means Ann-Katrin is in the Office Full time. Ann-Katrin is a very efficient lady I met her when visiting the Office in April this year. I have known Amanda getting on for 10 years now and visiting the Office when on our annual trip to Germany each year..

The sad thing is it is difficult to get through to the Regensburg Office due to they only have one telephone line and sometimes there is an answerphone on but sometimes you are put through to other offices. Most other Offices do not have the capabilities of taking cards due to the Germans are not allowed to pay that way. Due to me complaining some 8/9 years ago finding it difficult to renew our Membership Munich Head Office set Regensburg up as the office to deal with British Membership and the capability of taking Debit/Credit Cards.

Kind Regards
Dianne

Persons could follow this advice for their renewals if they do not have secure e-mail services : https://www.joysofeuropeancaravanning.co.uk/adacbreakdownservice.htm

Note also on this link information confirming that new memberships were unobtainable for other than persons living in Germany from 1st Out 2017.

Please check if you have renewed with ADAC this year. Yes they will renew your membership, but they don't tell you it can only be used in Germany. Check your bank payment and you will notice it is only around the 30/40 Euro mark.

What do you mean, " ... it can only be used in Germany"?

Where is this information from?, personal experience or a friend of a friend, I renewed by phone yesterday and it was €109

As I thought. Anyone suggest an alternative. Anyone have any experience with Green Flag ? M/H is a MWB Ducato, touring Spain, Portugal, France in spring next year. Possibly Poland, Slovakia and Czech Rep in the September.

Green Flag is almost 50% cheaper than AA or RAC.

We have ADAC + membership and I have renewed this year €109, Europe wide cover.

As has been said, ADAC+ is Europe-Wide cover and is €109 per year. It is possible to get the basic ADAC cover which is National (i.e. Germany) cover only which might be around €30/€40? (never checked price as no point)

Same with me but only after getting through on Tezz's number to someone who didn't speak English and insisted on giving me another number - in German. I had to hang up in the end. I'll put the above number in my phone! I'm now going to start a thread about telephone numbers for breakdown! (God forbid!)

I think it is pot luck who you get when you phone, the number I posted on the other thread was excellent, I asked if she spoke English and she immediately said she would transfer me to someone who could, If I were you I would try again
