Hi,

I'm about to depart in October for Italy and thought I will buy an ACSI card £15 but will it run a year or will it only be good for 3 months?

If so what about buying one off someone who's not going abroad again this year, does that work?

They last for the season, I have one that I haven't used yet this year. If I don't use it on my September trip you are welcome to it.

They are annual so they will in theory run out in December. I have used ACSI card for 3 years but am starting to think that there is not a big saving and in fact sometimes can cost more. We stopped at a site in Concarneau in Brittany which is not in ACSI, the the receptionistsaid it was 19 Euro per with EHU I said I had ACSI, ADAC, MMM, Caravan Club cards is there any discount. She said no not for any cards but if you stay for two nights or more we only charge 13 Euros per night. Result!

The site was Caballou Plage campsite and very nice it was, right on the beach, lovely swiming pool and bar regular bus in to Concarnue for 1 Euro stops at the gate. We stopped for 5 nights. 65 Eoros and no tax.

I will try the same thing at other site when we go in September. I would think that small sites will not let punter get away for the sake of a couple of Euros most sites were very quiet in Btittany all through June. So if you go in May next year, show them this years card I doubt they will turn you away.
