Hi, we were in this area last year in a motorhome 21 feet + motorbike. The road is perfectly do-able. Have a look at my write up on these parts on Virtual Tourist.

Hi steve, Artics use this road all the time, the campsite at Achnahaird closed last year. But there are plenty of spots to stop.

Last time I did this I was driving a '78 Ford LTD Station Wagon(http://photos.windley.com/gallery/v/Misc_0/image_1.jpg.html) pulling a Bailey 5 berth, so you should have no problems!

yes its fine,if you continue through the village you will come across a right turn marked to the cemetary it leads onto a beach with nice walks bit of a narrow road but okay,we were there last august no other vehicles,the cemetary is behind the parking area

Ullapool to Achiltibuie is OK but I DO NOT recommend Achiltibuie to Lochinver road which is called "The mad little road to Lochinver" unless it has been upgraded recently

Evenin GD, this road has had a lot of work on it in the last few years, went down it last September in the Hymer and had no problems at all. There is a large fish farms lorrys use it regularly, also a lot more tourists. There are no wildcampin spots I could see except at the bookshop bend nr lochinver in the tarmac carpark.
