Hi everyone,
My wife and I have just retired after finishing our motorhome self build. It's a Renault Master 2015 LoLoader (like a low Luton) - less than 60,000 on the clock. 2x 350W solar panels on the roof and 2x200ah Li batteries. 85L water tank. Shower/Bathroom/Composting toilet. We installed a single bed on linear actuators as a spare so it sleeps 4 at a push. His name is Ajay, though my wife refers to him as a 'she'. It's gender fluid maybe. Being a pen-pusher all my life I could barely put a shelf up but somehow we've done it all ourselves with help from watching YT vids and lots of expensive cordless tools. No wonder it took three bloody years.
The electrics were fun as I'm colour blind. What could possibly go wrong? I got my Mrs to switch it all on when I was at work.:D Thank goodness for all those Greg Virgoe videos I watched endlessly.
We've been living in Ajay full time for about 6 weeks and not gone too far - mainly Pembrokeshire and some other parts of South Wales. Google Maps has already messed us up so that's got to change. Luckily we are self sufficient and don't use campsites much so you'll understand why this site piqued my interest. Hope to have a chat with you guys soon. :D

Welcome from Bedfordshire.

A friend of mine fitted out a Lo-loader and they are an ideal vehicle for a camper, loads of room and nice vertical sides for the fitout!

We would love to see photo's of the interior.

Welcome to WC. I hope you are going to become full members.
Nice van. It would be proper stealthy if you had it sign-written "Horses" or got one of the horse racing type decals.
As Rob said, it would be nice to see the interior. You don't have to make the bed or anything.

Hi Sharon - you know what? We have actually thought about that. Everyone thinks Ajay is a former horse box - it certainly looks the part. But it had one previous owner who we think just delivered things as it was immaculate inside when we bought it. Massive side door too, not in the pic. I'll post some pics later. Thanks for the feedback.

Hi Rob - thanks. I'll post something later - the vertical sides were a definite plus and it's high inside so very roomy. We avoided high storage cabinets because of that in order to retain the feeling of space.

Hello @Sydwal, welcome aboard from north County Durham. 👋

Well done both, you'll have plenty of good times in your van - it's a world away from pen pushing, that's for sure! 👌(y)

I wasn't a penpusher - more a stylus shover, and prepared to run the gauntlet of 'where did I put my nib' probe with increasing frequency ... :ROFLMAO:
