Looked at a few pics. Come to the conclusion that a new dash has been fitted. Surely that would have cost a fair few £'s.

Could well have been. Must have cost a fortune.
Doesn't look like wiper have a position for LHD. Could have all been removed and filled I suppose.
Pedals and handbrake are right for a 79, its just dash and steering wheel.

That's a mk2 508/608 First number is it's gross weight. They did face lift around 1978 The style was continued into the T2/ln1's. The oil filter was changed too. I'm sure they were never turbo'd 63 horse power at best, but very good on fuel. One piece rims as well, the old split rims were so easy to work on if you a flat. I preferred the old metal dash too. One ignition key fitted all.
