2006 Boxer sliding door cable problem

Hi all
The sliding door release cable has come out of it's location, behind door handle. I went into Peugeot main dealers but they were unable to tell me whether there should be a securing device on the cable end or door handle securing point.
Does anyone have any ideas on this?

don't know on yours but there's usually something either part of the lock assembly or a clip,check inside the door if anything has dropped down,if nothing take the lock out for a look

Didn't think of looking in the bottom of the door, I'll do that now

Fixed it:wacko:

Nothing lurking in the bottom of the door, So looked through toolbox to find something that would work. eventually thought of these

Electric cable Joiners.

So I cut one off it fitted the end of cable perfectly. It was very fiddly but managed to put hooked end through hole in handle and with use of pliars pushed the cable join onto the protruding end and tighten the screw. It works !!!:rockroll:
