2 extra elecsol batteries

Have just bought 2 extra 100ah batteries and a new charger that shows engine battery/leisure batteries and solar panel information we got home and put it on mains hook up there is no charge showing on any of the batteries.

However, when putting a light on it shows a discharge.

Any ideas appreciated as when I rang the company they said they'd done nothing - but we are returning to them next week.

The above has been done to enable us to wild camp longer.

Perhaps the batteries are fully charged?

You'll need to use a multimeter to check the voltage at the battery terminals both with and without the mains hook up connected. That will tell you whether the charger is actually charging.

I had a similar instance... I also have 2 x 100amp elecsol batteries.

My problem is the starter battery showed no charge, traced it back to a fuse near said battery. Once this was replaced, the control panel showed everything correctly.

I agree with AndyC, get your multimeter out first.
