1st Day of Retirement (Freedom) Today

Well, after 44 years and three weeks, yesterday was my final day at work:banana:
And in 2 days time SWMBO also finishes as well:banana:

Then on Friday, we are heading off in the MH, carn’t wait! No more having to get back for a certain time, No more having to plan everything around work:camper::mad1:
 
There's no better feeling than turning the alarm clock off for the very last time...enjoy.

I have 5.5 years to go, her in doors has 15, but when I retire the plan is we both retire. I just hope I am still fit n able at 66.
It just would be nice to be able to drive off in the motorhome and not consider what date we need to return.

Happy days! The feeling of freedom that first day. Enjoy every minute of it.
 
Glad to hear somebody else has joined the retired club, we finished just over 12 years ago. Took a while to slow down & take it easy, tended to try to do too much. Very soon you'll fill your time & wondering how you managed to find the time to get to work everyday.
 
Congrats, Retirement is the best job in the world :dance::dance: I retired at 55 ,19 years ago and just getting used to it.
 
See you have dropped into the same old routine already .. HEADING OFF ON FRIDAY .. What you should be doing is heading off on Sunday as all the people who are at work have gone home and there are plenty of places to stop and park :lol-061:

I'm very very jealous, I still have about 20-30 years left :(
 
Congrats to the both of you! Go enjoy it :) Only 5 months left for me then I'll be in the same boat :cool1:
