1986 Hymer/Fiat Ducato wiring diagram or HELP

I just purchased this otherwise wondrous vehicle with only one fault - the temperature gauge, warning light and fans did not work. I think they were wired up incorrectly when a new sender was fitted, but there may be other faults, and as there are three wires into the loom and three wires out of the sender, it is a bit confusing.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram?
Does anyone understand how it should work?

Pure speculation, but educated - one pin will be common(no doubt earth), another for the guage which is a varying resistance and the last is a switch for the fans. With a multimeter you may be able to work it out but it'll be a faff.

So, not really anything useful to add lol, but a free bump...
