1900s motorhome

In 1899 some French artists were asked to draw some predictions for what life would be like in the year 2000. One of the images was this one - possibly the start of France's love affair with the motorhome??

Some of those are surprisingly accurate - Mechanised Farming, Home Automation, Molecular gastronomy, Intensive breeding of chickens, Orchestra in the theatre replaced with machines, Mechanised garment manufacture - though the artist does have a bit of a fixation with aerial and underwater recreation. All do-able in the year 2000, but perhaps not as popular or mainstream as (s)he imagined.
