hi everyone.... i was away off grid for a week last week and the van behaved very well, except for....... i have an original 12v cigarette socket inside the habitation door and close to the original leisure battery.. i had a plug in battery voltage monitor/USB socket device which was really useful for measuring how many volts are left in the van without having to get at the batteries with a multi meter. it "blew" last week, a bit of smoke came out of the socket and puff.... one dead monitor. it looked a bit like this Halfords Twin USB 2.5A but with a mini screen which showed the volt reading.

i cant find one on ebay with a USB AND a screen to read volts on.... has anyone else got one and could they kindly supply a link.....

i tested all the lights, water pumps, on-board battery charger and everything seems to be working.... i am hoping i can just buy another widget and all will be well....

thanks

I've not seen one of those before . I have separate LCD voltage plug and USB plug.

I've got one of these....
Wireless Bluetooth FM Transmitter Radio Car Kit MP3 Music Player 2 USB Charger 6921761148821 | eBay

it gives a voltage reading
it pays micro sd cards and transmits a FM signal so you can listen on your radio
It plays Usb sticks to your radio
it plays your phone to your radio
it has two usb outputs
it will bluetooth your phone to the van for hands free calling / receiving

It costs £11

It will not pour your wine

- why not ???

Pouring wine is a man's job. the way this thing multi tasks it must be a woman

WTF... the lower left is a blue illuminated toggle switch, jammed in a cigar socket. (as per Heath Robinson)
Is that the panel isolator or what ?

It switches the panel of though you can do away with any of the ports and fit more usb or cigy sockets and have a switch on the dash to shut panel down,i have some around my van,one set for tv and others for charging tablets and phones etc.
