A friend, full time and solo motorhomer, suffers from fibromyalgia. She really misses the heated seats that she had on her car.
Any suggestions on how she can hear her motorhome driving seat? 12 volt would be ideal.

You can get 12v plug in heated seat covers, they are widely available.

I bought one from another member for my mrs, but we haven't tried it yet, so can't report.

A few ways,
First what type of vehicle has she,it may be able to rep,ace the seat with a heated seat out another vehicle and get wired up
Second ,you can buy 12v heated pads that sit on the seat(after market type)and you could also buy proper heat pads from a dealer or supplier get the seat stripped ,install and wire ,(won't be cheap)

Bought the wife one of these a couple of years back 12V HEATED CAR VAN FRONT SEAT COVER 12 VOLT PADDED THERMAL CUSHION UNIVERSAL FIT | eBay

For the money it`s absolutely brilliant and she loves it, heat starts within 30 seconds or so of being turned on and there are 2 temperature settings.

It`s left fitted on the passenger seat all year and during the warmer months the 12 volt cable is wrapped around the head rest do it doesn`t get in the way.

Heated Seat Covers

There's a good selection of heated seat covers on Amazon and reasonably priced too.

Bought an Aldi heated seat pad for my wife in 2015. Used regularly and works well.

Fits easily although diagonal straps over back of seat obstruct access to map pocket and the front strap adjacent door can be unhooked accidentally if not careful getting in. The seat fitted to is fairly contoured so a bit of a wrinkle as pad is flat but seat concave.

If you leave it on accidentally it will drain the battery, only did that once!

Con with Aldi is only available periodically. Pro is that if they fail will replace or refund without hassle. Overall a good buy at about £16.

Waeco heated seat kit

Waeco sell universal heated seat kits. Watch a typical installation video here. Should be much better than a heated cover. Any vehicle upholsterer should be able to fit them if you don't fancy doing the job yourself.

Lidl do them and they are great bought 2 in nov and have used them all winter
think they were £9.99 each :banana::banana:

Thank you all

Thank you all for the information and tips. Have passed it on. We walked up some steps yesterday and her legs went very sore ... such a horrid disease.
