How do all.
After a very wet and windy Easter break at Shell Island with a big bunch of friends and family, I realised that I need an exterior room for my Bertha. The kids went mental in the egg hunt with all kinds of pushing, shoving, screaming and general chocolatey greediness and as it got closer to sundown, the weather deteriorated. Three of my friends' tents were binned on bank holiday Monday morning as a result of a night of full on wind and rain. My Bertha became a refuge for all the tentless waifs, with endless cups of tea being made and kids breakfasts done and shelter while I helped everyone pull down and load up.
Muddy wellies, sodden waterproofs, chairs etc became a big problem and I found myself wishing I had an outside room. I don't want a safari room as they look like a lot of hassle to put up and root you to the spot. A drive away seems the best option.

Question: If anyone has a drive away awning and has some good advice on what to / what not to buy, I'd be very grateful. Would a dome tent type be better / more sturdy against the elements or is it worth paying a bit more for a steel frame, cabin type of add-on?
An awning that can handle a bit of weather is essential.

Kindly regardations,
Suki ;)

NR Awnings are a UK manufacturer who make sturdy awnings to cope with the UK weather...I have a Motor Villa Chalet Drive away awning made by them (now discontinued), but I'm sure they are happy to chat to you about your requirements. They are in Todmorden Lancashire.

We have a Movelite awning that slides into the Fiamma rail .. the extra room on wet days with a wet dog is brilliant. They do driveaway ones too.
