Has anyone done Prague for New Year?

We always head off on Boxing Day for about 10-12 days .... usually around the UK, but we did Andorra last year and were a bit disappointed (yes, I know it's a skiing place!!!!!) that there was not much to do/look at and it seemed to be about tax free shopping. There was no celebration on New...

    Swift battery problems

Hi, Is anyone else having problems with leisure batteries in Swift Motorhomes? I purchased a new Rio 325 thirteen months ago and the 80 Ah Yuasa battery, which was never particularly brilliant, has failed. Yuasa have refused to provide a new one under one warranty as, because of it's age...

Struggling to find washing up bowl to fit

We used to have a Hymer B544 a few years ago and managed to find a proper rectangular washing up bowl that fitted it perfectly. We now have another Hymer and I cannot find anything, anywhere to fit it (it needs to be 10cm deep max). We tried sawing the lip of a normal bowl .... but couldn't...

Can you light a fridge externally??

We've had problems with the electrics on the fridge - first the 12v stopped working, then while trying to fix that the gas ignitor has stopped working too! We're going away for a few days and (leaving things till the last minute ... as usual!) wondered if you can light the fridge externally...

    Water Filters

Just sold a motorhome that had a sureflo pump with a Seagull IV under-the-counter water filter. We've gone back in time and bought an old Hymer that uses (I think) taps with a microswitch. This is a Whale pump in the tank. Is there a filter that works with this sort of set-up other than the...

    Cambridge P&R (Trumpington)

We have just spent a few days in Cambridge hitting the sales and before we left, quickly checked their tourist site for parking before we went, which said campervans were welcome on the P&Rs, so we went to the Trumpington one, only to find that there are height barriers on the entrance and exit...

    Some people are strange!!

My husband's middle aged colleague said yesterday that in his opinion we ought to store our motorhome abroad and then we could just fly out to it and use it like a sort of free hotel and it would save on all the fuel, ferry and nuisance of having to get there .................... he was...

    Chesil Beach, Weymouth

Not bad for a first attempt at a panoramic photo :) We arrived about 5.30 one evening, asked the guy in the booth what time we had to be gone by and he said that's quite a difficult one to answer , so we spent a nice peaceful night there with several other motorhomes. He gave us a...
