  1. "daft question" thread!

I'm not being sarcastic here, but can I ask......... Who would you class as being "qualified to judge"? And could the reason why we don't hear of too many fires in petrol stations being caused by motorhome 'fridges, be because most motorhomers wouldn't enter a forecourt with their gas 'fridge...
  2. Wild camping is legal

LOL, I pulled into a private car park a few days ago and saw this sign, so I HAD to take a pic!: A quick search online shows that those nice people in Health & Safety are now considering "reverse-parking only" as a part of their risk-assessments, and often recommend implementing it in order...
  3. tow cars

If this hot weather continues for much longer, I'm thinking of towing an ice-cream van behind me! :):drive::)
  4. Gas attacks

You just can't seem to please some people! We hear so many campervan owners saying how much they worry about being burgled, but when the burglers (very considerately if you ask me) go to the trouble of anaesthetising them so they can avoid some of the trauma, they're still not happy...

  6. Hmmmmmm NOW What ?

Call the fire brigade, or more likely (unless anyone is in immediate danger) a good recovery truck. Then, first of all, ANCHOR it securely, either to several of those handy trees, or to the recovery vehicle (which hopefully will have it's handbrake on, and some hefty wheel-chocks!). If you...

And another thing!!! This slipped my mind until I went to a supermarket today (for some shopping, not on a research trip! :)). Many of the larger supermarket car parks have walkways along the rear of their parking spaces in order to keep the pedestrians away from the danger of moving...

  11. Help I`ve been bitten

BTW, many people don't realise that ladybirds can have a nasty bite too. I only found out by accident years ago, when I seemed to have several within a few weeks. I can't remember if they caused any bleeding or swelling, but they were definitely sharp and very painful bites! Ladybirds do also...

  15. Wild camping is legal

Yeah - yeah.... But in reality you just lean your carrier-bike against a lamp-post, don't you?!! :)
  16. Wild camping is legal

SOME of the reasons why I generally reverse in are: As N.Brown says, the blind spots that you have if you have to reverse out with cars parked on either side of you; apart from the little old ladies, stray shopping trolleys, and the odd passing car that isn't paying attention, young children...

I don't know why, but the only time that I really feel safe out there is when I know that you ladies are all gathering many miles away at some Girlies Meet! :) But seriously, Well Done all of you! :):drive::)
