Few options for the 2.8jtd.
A Google search will show which you need. A look under the van will help deciding what you need.
But if you want supply and fit, a google search of your area will show options for commercial van garages in your area. Then pick one with good reviews and have a chat 👍
Lithium general purpose grease. If you feel better can you not pump it in to expel old grease?
Unless your old three-gallon drum was a specialist grease chances are it is also a lithium grease.
If it's a rigid panel, then you have to factor for the corner fixings.
Have a look at Photonic universe's web site. You'll be able to see what panels are available and add on bracket dimensions too.
Called into storage to check on van. It has a nordelettronica 143-s. Rated 14.4V 200W, which means 13A. The charger fuse by the battery + terminal is rated 20A.
So I would be happy connecting the 15A, but 20A might be upper limits of wiring loom.
Does sound like it I'm afraid.
The silver lining is you won't be again.
Swap insurance details, admit nothing, take photos.
Get a dash camera fitted too.
My best advice is learn from it, but don't dwell on it. 👍
Looked at the IP22, I assume the high mode, 14.7V, would be for AGM batteries.
Blerb says the 15A is good to a 150AH battery. As space is awkward and restricted I would max out with a 130AH.
Which would be ok for few days of light use before needing to hook up. And solar will help with charging too.
Most of the time the solar will keep battery topped up and maintained. So smart charger won't need to charge at a high rate. Just keep up with 12V used in the evening and recharge overnight as we sleep. Only two phone chargers being used from 10pm until about 9am.
I will check what my current...
Many thanks for reply. I will definitely look into your recommendation, as I normally spend a while looking into pros and cons before I commit to purchase 👍
My current charger/PSU is not suitable for AGM batteries. As I will be replacing the tired battery for next season and thinking AGM is a better option than sealed flooded.
Would I be right in thinking I can replace my current charger/PSU with any AGM compatible smart charger and still use pump...
