Where to mount DashCam?

Just got a new van & looking where I can mount a dash cam, it is a campervan based on the Ducato. There is no mirror fitted & where it usually is there is a moulding for the auto wiper/headlight sensors. The front Remo type blinds rule out fixing to the windscreen, also thinking of getting a new camera something like the https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/camer...-mirror-dual-dash-cam-black-10171596-pdt.html . Quite like it also having a rear view camera, it does already has a factory fitted reversing camera but this only works when using reverse.
Looking for ideas how to fit a camera, on my last van there was a mirror fitted & I made an adaptor to fit my Roadhawk camera but at the moment I'm stuck for ideas where I can mount this or a different type.

As you said, no room on the screen because of the blind, I mount mine on the dash which is on one of those adhesive black discs.
Failing that, you could mount it where the mirror should go and remove it at night when you have to pull the blinds together.

Top right

I have a small Garmin dash cam and it fits in the top right side of the windscreen leaving just enough room for the blinds to close without removing it. It was the only place I could find that had enough room between the blinds and the screen. Also Ducato 2009.

I have Dashcam & Satnav mounted to a piece of perspex which is held onto the top of dash by the map clip its then possible to pull blinds and its sheltered from the sun

Fitt it to right side of dash as thats a good v of road centre line.

Don't think my Roadhawk camera would fit anywhere on the windscreen without catching the blinds, the camera type I would like is the Co-Pilot CPDVR3 or similar with an external rear camera. This seems to require the rear view mirror to fit it on, bit annoying I have a spare rear view Fiat mirror just needs the mounting plate but still the same problem nowhere to mount it. Tempsolution is to use my Roadhawk camera on a sucker mount & take it off at night but not ideal. Can't find a way of mounting it to dashboard the mounting is on the top & the video can't be rotated.
Probably need to look at other camera options, bit annoying I had a few vans that had a mirror fitted but you couldn't see out of the back, in my new campervan you would be able to see out of the back but has no rear view mirror.

Mines on the cab bulkhead, so I get a view out of all 3 cab windows. It's not hard wired in yet, but I will be looking for a solution when the weather gets warmer.

Just been setting up my Roadhawk to put the new vans registration number in, decide to look at some of the saved videos but found the Roadhawk software no longer works with google maps so the location information is missing. Emailed Roadhawk only to be told

We know longer support Google Maps with the DC1 model. The DC1 model is very old and its been discontinued. Think it was bought as a present about 5/6 years ago & at the time wasn't cheap it was somewhere near £180-£200, whilst the camera works I no longer have access to the map position despite it having a GPS. When I complained that just saying it was a discontinued product so they don't support it. Why would I bother buying another as they suggested when it was going to have a limited life. They even rang me but offered me no solution except buying one of their newer models!!! Looks like a cheap ebay model that I can happily replace every couple of years.

Not sure the GPS or Google maps feature

Is of any real advantage
Video is time and date stamped and most of us know where we were on any given day.
I like GPS tagging but.....

The Roadhawk software program shows the video, G forces & there is a panel with google maps showing the position. I tended to download the videos from our longer trips in Europe & it was nice to review places we'd visited & know where they were, a lot more difficult when trying to find a location again now as we might know what it looks like but sometimes its just not possible to determine where it was. The Roadhawk built in GPS is now useless as it only worked on the Google map panel, all the data is in the video file & I can't see anyway to extract the GPS data from a MP4 video.
