Michelin Camping Tyres - 215/70R15 109

I am thinking of changing the tyres on my Camper Conversion to ones with a more aggressive tread to allow me to drive on fields better (when I go to festivals and shows).
So ... I am wondering if anyone would like some Michelin Aglis Camping X Tyres in the size 215/70R15, which I think is a fairly common size.
Could be ideal for a full replacement set, pairs, or just individual spares.
I have a total of 7 of these tyres (run a dually with a spare wheel) - would probably sell 6 of them and keep the 7th just as a spare for the new tyres (which will be the same size) but if someone really wants that final tyre it will be doable

The tyres are around 8-9 years old, but are all in excellent condition with loads of treads left (5-6mm minimum) and have no cracking on the sidewalls at all and none of them have ever had repairs.
Looking for £25 each or £40 a pair and would need to have buyers commitment for a total of 5 of them before selling for sure.

I phoned Michelin and they said that the Agilis Camping are a LONG LIFE tyres that have a minimum life expectancy of 10 years (when they should be inspected) but should last a lot longer.

I have no worries about using these tyres at all. Looking to change not for any age reasons but for reason given in first post.
In the next couple of month I will be driving on fields most weekends and want more blocky tread. I would really like AT Tyres but they don't tend to come in the load ratings I need.

So I suggest to anyone interested, ignore trolls and deal with facts :dog:

I have found the Agilis tyres to be good on grass and soft ground. They are far, far better than the old Michelin XC tyres which were often fitted to new vans. They would lose traction on a Lettuce leaf. :raofl:

Interesting, Maybe I should go for a trip in the fields before making a final decision?
I fitted my last two campers with AT Tyres (the T4 were Conti Cross-Contacts AT2 and the T5 I fitted General Grabber ATs) and they were both superb on wet grass (the T5 with brand new Bridgestones Turanza I didn't think was very good at all on the grass and a bit slippy)

A block tread is fine as long as it is also quiet on Tarmac. Usually, lowering the tyre pressure is a good help on soft ground. I have about 1800Kg on my front axle and have to be quite careful where I park. The front wheels normally sink a bit so I have learned to gently rock back and forth to get moving out of the rut.

as I understand there are 2 types of agilis tyres , standard agilis and, camping agilis that are mud and snow. correct me if I am wrong .?

The condition of a tyre matters more than its age, but to properly assess the condition, you have to take it off the wheel and look on the inside.
However, every tyre has a date code. When buying a tyre, especially a used one, you should check the date code to find how long ago it was made, regardless of when it was bought or fitted.

I clicked the "view post" for this in case of more misinformation but the message above is absolutely correct and sensible words. Also on many tyres the date code is only put on one side of the tyre, so if you are looking for the date code and can't see it, it will probably be on the other side (which could be a right pain on a dually!)

In the case of the specific tyres I am selling here, I checked not only the inside side of the tyre which can be hard to see when fitted to the vehicle, but the actual insides of all the tyres before they were refitted to the wheels after powercoating.
And this is how I can not just state the tyres are in excellent condition, but also have never been repaired, as I checked both sides and the tread part FROM THE INSIDE, looking for any plugs and patches as well as general stuff.


I am very particular about my tyres I have to say and will dump any that are suspect or of dubious appearance.
I know many say they will never buy used/part-worn tyres but I would ask them if as a matter of course they immediately replace the tyres on a used vehicle they buy? Because in 99.99% of cases, that used vehicle will not come with brand new tyres and therefore by definition they are used/part-worn tyres.

I don't know about the standard Agilis, but the Agilis Camping Tyres I have fitted are indeed M+S marked and are also the "Green X" version (not sure if all of Michelin's Agilis Camping tyres were Green X or not?)

Correct.

I have the Camping tyre on my front (drive) wheels and the Commercial van tyre on the back four wheels.

I was in our local Costco today for fuel and a bite to eat. Also enquired about MH tyres, manager stated no such thing as sell by date, more to do with visual inspection of tread depth and cracks, etc.

He also mentioned I contact insurer, whether commercial tyres or MH tyres are required. I asked what difference is, he stated that MH tyres are designed for vehicles that may stand around for a long period of time. I would reckon MH design for our needs, as we both still work, MH does stand longer than we would like. Was an enlightening conversation.

We gave our old Agilis tyres to a mate when we bought new ones as his were shot, (we replaced because of age, not condition), they were 13 years old then and he's been happily using them for around 2 years, his mh has passed the MOT no problem so, they're still going strong.
